The real story of NovaFest...
Brand New is the headliner with Sean Kingston opening. I am very happy to say that I have only heard ONE negative comment about the lineup and that person will go unnamed. Every response that I have heard so far has shown very strong feelings about at least one of the artists. NOW THAT'S A GOOD NOVAFEST...at least in my opinion.
I know that it's impossible to please everyone. We obviously can't find ONE artist that appeals to everyone's musical tastes...even if we could, I'd bet exactly $50,000 that we wouldn't be able to afford them. And besides, I don't like Dave Matthews Band...so that excludes him...now who are we left with?

Woah were you wrong. they were both terrible. especially brand new, i was a part of at least 300 kids leaving after giving brand new a chance, about three songs in. i mean god bless members of cat for trying so hard and doing there best but from now on can we get bands that don't center 90% of their music on a death wish. granted, the goo goo dolls sometimes have depressing lyrics but they were FUN to see live, they weren't a buzz kill... Brand New really, honestly was a Buzz Kill. I was standing up close to the stage, and every body I could see was giving each other a look that said something like "Really, that guy with his hood raised above his head like the grim reaper, all the screaming, the INCREDIBLY SERIOUS (like death) look on the lead singer's face. All the hats? Was it that cold in the gym? Why is he pulling that hat down over his eyes, is he crying? It kind of sounds like the lead singer is crying. Ok, now he's screaming. I am starting to feel embarrassed for him, I don't get this. I wonder if everybody else is enjoying this and its something I'm not getting. Oh, nope, a ton of people are leaving. I think I'm just going to leave."
